Fight Talk - Green vs Watts

Tuesday, July 19

Danny Green is a mainstream star in Australia, hence his bout with Melbourne's Kane Watts reaching Pay-Per-View status. The intriguing part about the match-up is seeing how much Green has left, and whether he finds himself in any trouble against an opponent of Watts' calibre.

A rematch with Anthony Mundine beckons (either late 2016 if Mundine doesn't want a 'warm-up' or likely around March 2017 if he does) and while weight will be a major point of comparison once that mega-fight is eventually made, there is still huge interest in seeing how strong and slick a 43 year old Green is against Watts. Add to that an undercard featuring the impressive Mark Flanagan and emerging stars Andrew and Jason Moloney and this will be an entertaining night of fights on Main Event.
